Charlie Bedford is a talented teenage blues musician who has been growing in stature year by year within Australia’s wonderful guitar community. He has performed at the International Blues Challenge – Youth Showcase in Memphis several times.

He has played with and been mentored by some of the biggest names in Australian Blues. Those who attended the 2015 Melbourne Guitar Show will fondly remember Charlie’s appearance with headliner Lloyd Spiegel. Last year Charlie joined the Triple M all star jam alongside guitar greats such as Jack Jones, Brett Garsed, Shannon Bourne and James Ryan.

Charlie has just released his debut solo album 9,500 Miles to Memphis. Charlie Bedford will once again be appearing at the Melbourne Guitar Show in 2019. AM’s Greg Phillips sat down with Charlie at KC’s Rockshop in Boronia, his local music store (and also a #MGS2019 exhibitor) to chat about his career, gear and the guitar show
